Description:

Kobayashi Kiyochika (1847-1915), Ariakero Teahouse, Imado, Japan, 1879, color woodblock print, published by Fukuda Kumajiro, from the series Pictures of Famous Places in Tokyo, signed on print, dated with publisher's seal on right margin, titled on bottom, oban yoko-e, 7 3/4 x 12 1/8 in.
Condition: Two long dull creases, impurities on print, mild buckling.

Provenance: Sotheby's, Lot 263, November 9, 1984.
Estimate $800-1,000

Removed from frame, slight toning, two long dull creases particularly upper center, small piece of paper attached to reverse, reverse lightly taped to mat.
