Attributed to Paul-Albert Besnard (French, 1849-1934)

Un écrivain envisage une Muse endormie, démasqué. Unsigned, unidentified blind stamp l.r., attributed and inscribed ".../Frontis to 'L'Affaire Clémenceau'/..." in a later hand on the frame backing. Etching with plate tone on paper, plate size approximately 8 1/2 x 6 in., framed. Condition: Not examined out of frame.
