CO./CHICOPEE/MASS. and US/JH, leather scabbard with brass fittings marked ATLANTA 1863 with a paper label which states "found on board/Ram atlanta which was cap-/tured by/the Weehawken/June 17. 1863/atlanta", blade lg. 22 1/2, overall lg. 27 1/2 in.

Blade and hilt in good condition, scabbard is in good condition with a few dents in the brass throat, with plastic taped over the original paper label which is glued to the leather scabbard.
