Eagle-pommel Sword with Scabbard, c. early to mid-19th century, brass hilt with brass backstrap and handguard, brass eagle mounted on the bottom of the guard, wire-wrapped leather grip, fire-blued steel blade marked A.W. SPIES and engraved with a panoply of arms and foliate designs, steel scabbard with brass throat, middle band, and drag, blade lg. 31, overall lg. 36 in.

Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Fort Ticonderoga Museum.
Estimate $600-800

Grip has some light leather loss near the pommel, brass and blade have some patina appropriate to their age.
