Eagle-pommel Sword and Scabbard, c. early to mid-19th century, gilt-brass eagle pommel with brass knuckle bow and counter-guard, reeded bone grip with a brass ferrule, engraved steel blade with foliate designs, and a panoply of arms, brass scabbard engraved with foliate designs and marked HORSTMANN, blade lg. 28 1/4, overall lg. 33 1/2 in.
Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Fort Ticonderoga Museum.

Has a coating of museum varnish, hilt is a little lose, and has a wire holding the knuckle bow to the pommel.
