U.S. Mounted Infantry Sword and Scabbard, c. early 19th century, brass hilt with foliate designs on the knuckle guard and langets and an eagle head quillon, a steel blade engraved with foliate designs, and an American eagle, black leather scabbard missing the throat and drag, blade lg. 33, overall lg. 38 1/2 in.
Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Fort Ticonderoga Museum.
