Midshipman's Dirk and Scabbard, c. early 19th century, gilt-brass eagle pommel and guard, checkered bone grip, and a brass chain, fire-blued steel blade engraved with foliate designs, black leather scabbard with brass throat, middle band, drag, and a brass chain on the carrying rings, blade lg. 12 1/4 in, overall lg. 17 1/2 in.

Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Fort Ticonderoga Museum.
Estimate $300-500

Hilt is a little loose, the scabbard has a crack just below the middle band that was taped together.
