Musical Automaton of a Black Figure with Top Hat and Cane, R. Aldridge, France, the figure wearing a black double-breasted dress coat with tails, white waist coat and bow tie, standing on a wood and brass-wrapped cask, the key-wind, single-air movement activates the raising of the top hat while he nodes his head forward, lowers his left arm holding the cane and seemingly takes a step, while an owl which is perched on a tree trunk beside him raises and lowers, ht. 22 in.
