Louis Philippe Cathedral Shelf Clock, France, c. 1840, the gilt cast bronze case with applied details, engraved and engine turned Roman numeral dial, pierced gold hands, small bell mounted in top cupola, eight-day, time and count-wheel strike movement with silk thread suspension marked Pickard, all on a stepped, birds-eye maple veneered, wooden base, ht. 22 1/2 in.
Clock ticks and strike train operates but is disconnected from bell.
