Thomas Swinnerton Lantern Clock, Newcastle-under-Lyme, England, c. 1690, brass case with strapped bell above, brass frets, engraved Roman numeral chapter ring with half-and quarter-hour markings, engraved dial plate marked Thomas Swinnerton Fecit, single steel hand, thirty-hour, time and count-wheel strike movement with recoil escapement, regulated by a long pendulum and powered by a single weight, ht. 14 in.
No weight or pendulum. Back and side panels appear to be of a later period.
