French Grande Sonnerie Gilt Carriage Clock, retailed by Bigelow Kennard, Boston, c. 1900, the gilt case with freestanding columns and Corinthian capitals flanking the silvered brass Roman numeral dial marked Bigelow Kennard & Co./Boston, moon hands and a floral-decorated center, hammered zinc decoration on the dial surround with floral and dragonfly decoration, similar decoration on side panels, one with raised gilded cricket, eight-day, time and strike, grande sonnerie movement with dual hammers and silencing lever on the bottom, original platform escapement and push repeat lever, ht. with handle raised 8 3/4 in.
Movement runs and repeats properly, gilding and panels in good condition.
