Brass Hour-striking Carriage Clock, France, c. 1900, the brass and beveled glass case with overlaid friezes in gilt repousse on the carrying handle, top, corners, and base, porcelain Arabic numeral dial with repousse center, gilt dial surround and blued steel spade hands, eight-day, time and strike, spring-powered movement with original lever platform escapement, ht. 7 1/2 in. with handle extended.
Movement running and striking, but needs cleaning; case in old lacquered surface, dial excellent, gilt dial surround with usual age consistent imperfections; all glass good.
