Model 1861 Trenton Rifle-musket, c. 1863, walnut stock with a cartouche on the left side, a 40 in front of the buttplate tang, and a 10 behind the barrel tang, steel fittings, lockplate marked with an eagle, U.S./TRENTON, and the date 1863, breech of the barrel marked 1864, V/P over an eagle, and N.J., barrel lg. 40, overall lg. 56 in.
