Model 1817 U.S. Flintlock Rifle, c. 1817-40, walnut stock with V/GF stamped behind the side plate, oval steel patchbox on the right of the butt, steel lock plate marked US/H.DERINGER/PHILADA, steel barrel marked GF/P/US on the left side of the breech, and a steel ramrod with a brass tip, barrel lg. 35 3/4, overall lg. 51 1/2 in.

A few light dings and nicks in the stock, some brown left on the barrel, the rest of the steel parts have a plum-colored patina, some light pits near the touch hole at the breech of the barrel.
