Model 1814 U.S. Flintlock Rifle, c. 1814-17, walnut stock with cheek rest on the left side of the butt, and a cartouche behind the side plate, oval steel patchbox on the right side of the butt, steel lock plate marked US/R.JOHNSON., octagonal to round barrel marked at the breech P/US, steel ramrod with brass tip, barrel lg. 33 1/2, overall lg. 49 1/8 in.

Some light dings and nicks in the stock, steel, and steel spring look to be replaced, may have been an early reconversion, although it retains the correct cock and cock screw.
