Paint-decorated Games Table, New England, late 18th century, the rectangular top with polychrome checkerboard and decorative border with applied serpentine edge, on a vase- and ring-turned carved support and cabriole legs, (paint wear),ht. 28, wd. 20 3/4, dp. 14 1/2 in.
Rectangular block was added between the top and the cleat to raise the table to playing height at the time that the table was decorated in the last half of the 19th century.
