Arctic Oil Works, San Francisco. Unsigned, impressed on back of frame "ARTIC [sic] OIL WORKS SAN FRAN. CALIF." Oil on panel, showing the refinery and its T-shaped dock, 19 3/4 x 23 1/2 in., in a molded giltwood frame.

Note: The Arctic Oil Works was a West Coast center for the processing of blubber from whales, walruses, and seals into lamp oil.

No evidence of inpainting, flouresces slightly green due to a varnish, no cracks to panel.
