French Gold-washed Sterling Silver Monstrance, first half 20th century, maker's mark "PB" within a horizontal diamond, with a circular glazed compartment centering a starburst mounted with carnelian beads and transversed by a cross decorated with flowerheads set within diamonds, on a knopped stem mounted with masks representing the four apostles, and domed foot with inset fan-form champleve enamel panels interrupted by stylized columns, ht. 21 1/2 in.
