Two Sterling Silver-mounted Indian Harbor Yacht Club Trophies, Black, Starr & Frost rectangular silver-mounted colorless glass box, the hinged cover with engraved inscription "Indian Harbor Yacht Club/ Fall Regatta/ Sept. 9, 1911/ First Prize/ Won by/ Sue," ht. 3 1/4, wd. 9 1/2, dp. 3 5/8; and a Watson trophy cup with waisted body, two handles, gold-washed interior, and engraved inscription "IHYC/ Annual Regatta/ July 31, 1915/ NYYC 50 Footers/ Second Prize/ Won by/ Spartan," ht. 5 1/4 in.; approx. 16.4 total troy oz.
N.B. Spartan is a member of the New York Yacht Club 50 footer class designed by Herreshoff in 1912. She is believed to be the only surviving example of her class. J.M. MacDonough owned Spartan during the 1915 season.
