Description:

Two International Sterling Silver Larchmont Yacht Club Trophies, Meriden, Connecticut, second quarter 20th century, a circular shallow bowl with engraved inscription, "LYC/ 1929/ Two First/ One Second/ Won by/ Muffet," on four bracket feet, dia. 10 1/2, and a floriform bowl engraved to the center "Larchmont Race Week/1927/won by/Colleen", dia. 10 7/8 in., approx. 35.9 total troy oz.

N.B. Muffet was a sloop built in 1929. She competed in the International eight meter class. She was originally owned by Henry B. Plant, a financier and railroad owner.
