Two Sterling Silver New York Yacht Club Trophies Won by Marilee, New York, c. 1927-31, a Black, Starr & Frost circular tray with molded border and engraved inscription, "New York Yacht Club/ Second Prize/ Won by/ Marilee/ August 17, 1927," dia. 9; and Tiffany & Co. rectangular ashtray with engraved inscription, "New York Yacht Club/ First Prize/ August 20, 1931/ Won by/ Marilee," to both sides, lg. 3 1/2 in.; approx. 14.1 total troy oz.

N.B. The Marilee is one of the New York 40s, or "Fighting 40s," designed by Herreshoff for members of the New York Yacht Club. She was built in 1926 and was originally owned by Edward I. Cudahy.

Both with scattered black spots of silver rot and surface abrasions.
