Six American Sterling Silver Trophy Cigarette and Match Cases, c. 1888-1931, two with polychrome enameled burgees: one by The Thomae Co. with burgee possibly for Pequot Yacht Club and inscribed, "Vice-Commodore Prize/ July 11-1931/ Atlantic Class/ Won by/ Pampero," lg. 4 1/4; the other Wood & Hughes the obverse with crossed unidentified and Beverly Yacht Club burgee, the reverse inscribed, "Beverly Yacht Club/ Won by/ Atalanta/ July 7 & 14/ 1888," ht. 3 1/4; two with cabochons: one by John Chattellier, retailed by Black, Starr & Frost, and inscribed, "Seawanhaka Corinthian/ Yacht Club/ Annual Fall Regatta/ September 3, 1910/ First Prize/ Stamford One Design Class/ Won by/ Fiddler," ht. 3 1/4, the other by La Secla, Fried & Co. and inscribed, "LYC/ July 31st 1920/ First/ Won by/ Pokealong," ht. 3 1/2; and two International Silver: one with hammered surface inscribed, "American Yacht Club/ Second Prize/ Won by/ Aileen/ 2 July 1927," lg. 4 1/8; one engraved with scrolling foliage to one side, the other side inscribed "Manhasset Bay Y.C./ 1915/ Won by/ Twinkle," lg. 3 1/4 in.; approx. 17.5 total troy oz.
