Black, Starr & Frost Sterling Silver New York Yacht Club Trophy, New York, c, 1896, with enameled club insignia to elongated neck, two scrolled handles, and acid-etched inscription, "Second Prize/ Special Race for Thirty Footers/ Owned by Members of the/ New York Yacht Club/ June 11th 1896/ Won by/ Musme," to bulbous body, ht. 7 1/2 in., approx. 21.2 troy oz.

N.B. The Musme was a sloop built by Herreshoff in 1896 and originally owned by Joseph M. Macdonough.

Shallow dent to rim. Rubbing to acid-etched date. Age-typical wear.
