Needlework Sampler "Prudence Fuller," Walpole, New Hampshire, c. 1801, worked in silk threads on a coarse linen ground, with alphabets above the inscription "Prudence*Fu/ller's*Samp/ler*Aged/8 Years/made*in/Walpole/New Hampshire, flanked by birds and baskets of fruit, all surrounded by a meandering border of flowering vines, 16 1/4 x 10 3/4 in. (sight),in a modern burl veneer frame.
Note: According to a note affixed to the backing paper, Prudence Fuller was born November 30, 1793.
