Shirvan "Karagashli" Rug, East Caucasus, mid-19th century, a vertical row of three light red, and ivory sawtooth diamonds flanked by large stepped brackets enclosed by stylized birds, quadrupeds, stepped diamonds, and rosettes on a deep indigo field, all within a soft yellow serrated leaf and "wineglass" main border, stylized rosette minor border, 5 ft. 6 in. x 3 ft. 2 in.
