Jade Carving of Shoulao, China, 19th/20th century, with protruding forehead, holding a staff in his right hand and a double gourd in his left, decorated with a ruyi mushroom on the back of his head and a bat on his back shoulder, celadon/green stone with russet markings and white inclusions, ht. 4 1/8 in.

Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire.
