Canton Enamel Snuff Bottle with a Boy and Ox, China, 18th/19th century, flattened round form resting on an oval foot, depicting a boy taming a bird with an ox seated nearby on one side, and a boy playing the flute riding on an ox on the other, both in a floral reserve against a yellow border with floral and foliate scroll decorations, two double lines near mouth rim and foot, the domed stopper with a flower head surrounded with four double-leaf motifs, four-character Qianlong mark in overglaze blue to white enameled base, ht. 3 1/8, wd. 2 1/2 in.
