Molded Copper Pig Weather Vane, America, late 19th/early 20th century, the flattened full-body form with applied sheet copper ears, on a horizontal tubular post, custom stand, (tail replaced),ht. 21, lg. 33 in.

Provenance: Formerly in the collection of Alexander McFadden, Villanova, Pennsylvania. Mr. McFadden was a member of the cotton firm George H. McFadden Brothers, of Memphis, Tennessee. At the time of Mr. McFadden's death in 1948, they were one of the largest cotton firms in the United States.
