Provenance: Formerly in the collection of Alexander McFadden, Villanova, Pennsylvania. Mr. McFadden was a member of the cotton firm George H. McFadden Brothers, of Memphis, Tennessee. At the time of Mr. McFadden's death in 1948, they were one of the largest cotton firms in the United States.
