Woman in Moonlight on a Ship's Deck. Signed "R.L. Lambdin" l.l. Oil on canvas, 28 1/4 x 25 in., framed. Condition: Patch reinforcement, minor old retouch, craquelure, surface grime.

Stable craquelure overall, stretcher bar marks, minor paint loss at left center edge. and u.r. corner. The patch is very fine and appears to have been used to stabilize a small horizontal crack in the paint surface (or perhaps a small tear) in the upper right quadrant on the front. The crack is about 1/2 inch across, and it is located 5 inches down from the top and 5-1/2 inches in from the right edge, in the sky, four inches above the head of the figure. Some minor canvas deformation, painting would likely benefit from cleaning and restretching.
