British School, 19th/20th Century
Woodland Garden with Monumental Stone Gate. Signed indistinctly, perhaps "W. Hunt," l.l., with a partial pencil inscription on the reverse of the backing. Watercolor on paper, 13 x 9 1/4 in., framed. Condition: Sheet laid down on cardboard support, water staining to the lower edge of the support that impacts the watercolor at the l.r. edge, toning.

Area of water stain to the composition is triangular in shape, measures about 3/8 in. across and high, and is located about 1-1/2 inches in from the lower right corner of the paper.
Pencil inscription, which has been partially trimmed away, reads, "...thorn Ruins/England" and is located at the bottom left edge of the backing.
