Russian Large .875 Silver Covered Tankard, St. Petersburg, 1908-18, Grachev Brothers, maker, the stepped and domed cover with a cast figural finial of a putto feeding grapes to a goat, the cylindrical body with allover repousse diaper pattern centering stylized flowerheads, with one diamond unworked and intended for engraving, with S-scroll handle surmounted by bust-form thumbpiece, on a spreading foot with similar diaper design, with gilded interior, ht. 13 1/2 in., approx. 60.9 total troy oz.

Top of thumbpiece with solder mark. Metal fatigue to hinge. Traces of gilding to exterior. Metal fatigue to foot. Age-typical surface wear.
