White Marble Bust of Voltaire, mid to late 19th century, the figure carved as an elderly man wearing a band on his head, reverse inscribed "Houdon F, 1782," mounted to a square socle, ht. 22 1/4 in.
Estimate $2,500-3,500

Approx. 3 in. chip to drapery at front bottom. Surface grime. Dark scuffs to left side and left eyebrow. Socle not original.
