Gettysburg Tree with Embedded Artillery Projectiles, c. late 19th century, a large section of oak tree with two artillery rounds embedded, as well as a fragment of an artillery shell, ht. 55, wd. 11 in.
Provenance: From the collection of the late Peter F. Frazier and M. Prudence Fleck.
Note: In the late 19th century this tree was brought back from Little Round Top in Gettysburg to Grand Army of The Republic Post 89, Beverly, Massachusetts.
Some light insect damage on bark, overall in good condition.
