Description:

Federal Period Officer's Wing-type Epaulettes, c. early 19th century, dark blue wool broadcloth with silver-plate scales and round eagle insignia, a double row of silver braid around the border, and silver fringe, bottom lined with white silk.

Provenance: From the collection of the late Peter F. Frazier and M. Prudence Fleck.
Estimate $600-800

Overall in good condition, some tarnish and wear on silver-plate, a few moth holes in the blue broadcloth, and wear on the edges of the silk liner with a few pieces of old tape.
