William Snowden Surgical Set, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, c. 1880, with approximately thirty crosshatched ebony-handled implements stamped Snowden, thirteen surgical knives, bone saw, capillary hook, nippers and tweezers-forceps, fitted compartments, all in a felt-lined, brass-bound, rosewood case, with a removable tray, lg. 16 3/8 x dp. 6 1/4 x ht. 3 3/4 in.
