Painted Cast Iron Mechanical "Always Did Spise a Mule" Bank, J. & E. Stevens, c. 1879, by placing a coin in the figure's mouth you trip the lever near the rear of the mule, which activates the mule to kick its hind legs causing the figure to flip over and deposit the coin into the bank, ht. 8 in.
