Model 1860 Naval Cutlass and Scabbard, c. late 19th century, brass hilt with leather-covered wooden grip, steel blade with a single fuller marked lightly AMES MFG/CHICOPEE, and the opposite side with U.S.N. and an illegible inspector and date, leather scabbard with copper rivets and brass frog finial, blade lg. 26, overall lg. 31 3/4 in.
