Description:

Silas Hoadley Transitional Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1830, mahogany case topped by a stenciled splat with split columns flanking the full length door, all on French feet, painted wood Arabic numeral dial, lower tablet stenciled and reverse-painted, printed maker's label on inside of backboard, thirty-hour, ivory bushed, wood, time and strike movement powered by two cast iron weights, ht. 29 in.
Estimate $300-500

Some paint loss on dial. Label brittle with losses in weight channels. Movement may need cleaning for proper operation. Case refinished and columns repainted.
