Description:

Howard & Davis No. 3 Regulator, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1860, the rosewood-grained case with upper bezel opening to the 9-in. printed paper on zinc Roman numeral dial inscribed Howard & Davis/Boston, half round frames enclosing black and gold tablets, the lower opens to the weight baffle, tie-down, and damascened pendulum bob, eight-day movement stamped Howard & Davis/Boston powered by an iron weight with cast "3," ht. 38 in.
