Silas Hoadley "Upside-Down" Pillar and Scroll Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1820, the scroll-top case with striped maple plinths, glazed door over the painted wooden Arabic numeral dial gilt corners and town landscape with the oval at numeral six, printed maker's label stating in part, Franklin Clocks/With the Improvement of Bushing the Pivots with Ivory/...Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, Conn., thirty-hour "upside-down" wooden movement with count-wheel strike, pendulum and two iron weights, ht. 30 in.

Lower glass is an old repaint, dial is undisturbed, label in good condition, feet and scrolls are probable restorations
