Simon Willard Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, Roxbury, Massachusetts, c. 1810, painted iron Roman numeral dial with pierced blued-steel hands, mahogany crossbanded inlaid case framing reverse-painted glasses, the lower geometric pattern glass in blue, creme and gold inscribed S. Willard's Patent, the waist glass with cross-hatched gold decoration flanked by brass side ornaments, eight-day timepiece movement with step train, fillister head case attachment, and dead-beat escapement set in a uniformly cut head, regulated by a pendulum and powered by a lead weight, ht. 33 in.

Waist glass is a 20th century replacement and cracked, box glass is probably not the first, original dial with surface imperfections, original brass hardware, lead weight and pendulum
