New England Mahogany Tall Clock, c. 1810, the fret top case with glazed door opening to the unsigned painted iron dial with Arabic numerals, floral spandrels and hunting spoils in the arch, fluted quarter columns flanking the inlaid rectangular waist door with handwritten paper label stating in part: Bought of ...18th day, November 1808, price 65 dollars..., inlaid base on French feet, eight-day time and strike brass movement with two tin-cased weights and brass-faced pendulum bob with iron rod, ht. 92 in.
Replacement seating board, object right fret with minor repairs, paper label inside waist door is a replica, minor inlay losses, dial undisturbed, movement wants overhaul.
