Dubuc Figural Mantel Clock Depicting George Washington, Paris, c. 1815, the brass case with ormolu decoration and porcelain Roman numeral dial marked Dubuc/Rue Michel-le-Comte N. 33/a Paris, within the engine turned bezel over the banner marked WASHINGTON/First in WAR, First in PEACE, First in the HEARTS of his CONTRYMEN, and eagle finial on a plinth marked E PLURIBUS UNUM flanked by a figure of George Washington in ceremonial military dress all on an ormolu decorated plinth and engine-turned bun feet, ebonized pedestal and glass shade, eight-day time and count-wheel hour and half-hour strike with silk thread pendulum suspension, ht. of clock 16, with pedestal and shade 21 in.
Case in old polished surface, porcelain dial badly fractured, pendulum and key accompany the lot, movement complete but wants cleaning
