Elgin Model 600 Two-day Chronometer, No. 339, c. 1943, silvered Arabic numeral dial with subsidiary Up/Down indicator and seconds dials and marked Elgin, U.S.A., No. 399, 219431, damascened nickel chain fusee movement with split bi-metallic balance, spring detent escapement and helical hairspring marked Elgin 600 U.S.A., 14 Jewels, U.S. Navy, Bu. Ships N 339, 1943, in a fully gimbaled brass bowl with screw bezel housed in a glazed two-tier mahogany box with maker's plate, wd. 7 1/2 in.
