John Fletcher Two-day Chronometer, No. 1501, 48 Lombard St., London, c. 1855, 4-in. silvered dial with subsidiary seconds and up/down indicator, marked with maker's name, location and number as above, full plate, chain fusee, movement with helical hairspring, split bi-metallic balance with adjusting screws and a spring detent escapement, in a gimbaled brass bowl, all housed in a brass-bound, three-tier, rosewood box with inset side handles and a plaque marked as the dial, ht. 6 3/4 in.
