Large Gold Enameled Watch, case mid-17th century, movement, Jn.o Everell, London, 2136, c. 1725, the outer faux tortoiseshell case opens to the enameled inner case with annular Roman numeral chapter ring, central depiction of the Death of Cleopatra, and beetle and poker blued steel hands, the case back finely painted with the personification of Charity, three putti and basket of grapes, the band with travelers in fanciful landscapes, the interior enamel of two travelers in a wooded landscape, gilt dust cap engraved Jn. [o] Everell, London, 2136, full plate gilt movement with finely pierced and engraved balance cock with grotesque mask, pierced table, endstone, silvered regulating dial, square baluster pillars, chain fusee, and verge escapement movement, dia. 60 mm.
Restoration to enameled band, movement and dial fitted to case at a later date, outer case probably later.
