Identified Model 1860 Colt Army Revolver, Holster, Cap Box, and Belt, c. 1861-65, serial number 51031, all matching but wedge which is serial number 9262, walnut grips with right side carved D N, frame marked COLTS PATENT on left side, and on top of barrel ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S.A., leather Model 1851 saber belt with brass eagle and wreath buckle, cap box with maker's mark on inside flap J.A. BAKER/NEW.YORK, and a leather holster with maker's on back E. GAYLORD/CHICOPEE/MASS.

Note: Lot includes a 1968 dated note stating that the pistol was owned by Darius Negus from Rhode Island, and it was being given to a descendant. Negus is listed as being a Private in the 4th Rhode Island Volunteer Infantry.

Revolver is missing most of its bluing, has some pitting on cylinder, and wear from use, leather has some cracking and flaking.
