Engraved and Carved Model 1952 Mannlicher Schoenauer with Scope, c. 1955, serial number 16888, 30-06, ornately carved stock with foliate designs and a bear on the right butt, small bone disc set in the top of the butt, with the initials ERB, engraved triggerguard, floorplate, bolt handle, and receiver marked MADE IN AUSTRIA/Original/Mannlicher/Schoenauer/Mod. 1952/kal. 30-06, barrel engraved at breech with foliate designs and signed KURT JAEGER/MHINZ, engraved scope mount marked PAUL JAEGER-JENKINTOWN, PA., and scope marked B. NICKEL MARBURG/L/VARIABEL-4-10X E/S Nr. 155167/MADE IN GERMANY, barrel lg. 24 3/4, overall lg. 44 in.

Provenance: Built by Kurt Jaeger and brought back from Germany by the consignor after his service in the military during the mid to late 1950s.
