Gebruder Merkel Suhl Over and Under Shotgun, c. mid-20th century, serial number 45292, 12 gauge, walnut stock with checkered wrist and handguard, bottom of the pistol grip has an added piece of wood and bone engraved "ERB," factory-engraved case-hardened receiver marked on bottom "GEBRUDER MERKEL/SUHL," marked on the left side of the blued barrel "GEBRUDER MERKEL/SUHL," barrel lg. 28, overall lg. 44 1/2 in.

Provenance: Brought back from Germany by the consignor after his service in the military during the mid to late 1950s.
