Model 1903 Springfield Rifle, Sight Covers, and Sling, c. 1915, serial number 620743, walnut stock with J.S.A. stamped on the left side, a circle P below the triggerguard, as well as a 15, receiver marked U.S./SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY/MODEL 1903./620743, barrel marked with an ordnance bomb over 12-15, CONROY sight covers, and a ROCK ISLAND/ARSENAL-marked sling, with its original purchase document from the Harlington, Texas, Ordnance Depot dated February 5, 1917 for Captain F.W. Murray, Jr., 69th New York Infantry, overall lg. 43 1/2 in.
Provenance: By family descent to the consignor.
In excellent condition with a few light dings in the stock.
